We have been supporting both Mac and PC users for many years. Mac has always been the less popular option but many PC users have recently been more exposed to the Apple range of products because of the popularity of the Iphone or Itouch technologies. PC has always been more popular amongst business users in general but in January of 2009 Mac users topped 10% for the first time. Windows still has 88.7% of the market but why would a user consider changing?

Here are some reasons that may tempt you:

Reason 1 - Consistent user interface.

Windows seem to change the layout of the graphical user interface (what you actually look at every day)every time they release a new version. Things are changed for no apparent reason, just to differentiate from the last version. Mac has been a very simple consistent interface for the last few releases so when a new release happens the user doesn't have to relearn how to use the machine.

Reason 2 - Mac crashes less than a PC and is generally more reliable. Windows machines seem to install a lot of unnecessary software which slows the machine down in no time at all. Macs are also much quicker to start up and shut down

Reason 3 - Macs are less likely to be victim to viruses or attacks. These type of attacks will become more common as Mac popularity increases but at present an unprotected Mac is safer than a protected PC

Reason 4 - Dedicated Mac geniuses at the Apple store who know what they are talking about and can help with almost any problem, try getting hold of a Microsoft technician and getting some decent help.

Macs can be connected to a Windows network so there's no need to replace all your technology with Apple servers and desktops. They will however need to be configured properly to get the full benefit of a Windows based network.

Microsoft also offer an Office package for Mac (latest is Office 2008), which has a familiar layout very similar to the Microsoft version, this means that you don't need to learn a new software package if you make the move across from Office for Windows.

We offer cross platform installation and configuration and can help you to get to know your Mac to make the migration less painful, we can also move all your data and e-mail to your new Mac so you can use your existing files with your new software.
