With the release of Windows 7, touchscreen technology is set to become a more common site in offices and homes. With no need for a mouse or keyboard and with very impressive drag features (think Minority report), there are many applications, particularly in highly visible areas such as receptions or shop windows providing interactive information points or product demonstration units.

We have sourced and customised a panel PC (all in one screen with the features we would expect from a high spec, very slick machine) and have developed an image and video capture and data storage application for the healthcare sector. This application uses the most recent technologies (solid state drives and liquid cooling for a quieter unit) and we are looking at applications for information centres areas such as receptions or shop windows (for example estate agents)
